Hometown Love
With my upcoming move to The Big Apple fast approaching, it’s good to know that there are elements of my hometown that I’m coming to appreciate. For instance, I just returned from enjoying a bike ride to the library in warm and sunny mid-December.
I’m quite fond of the quirky character of the brick roads downtown or the tiny shops off of Corrine Drive. What has delighted me even more these days are the little treasures I’ve been able to find.
Whilst perusing through a new art gallery store, I found these paintings of my favorite fraternal twins:

The description cards next to each painting said something to the effect of “I’m the cuter one,” and “She’s just my sister.”
Later on, the boyfriend and I stumbled into a thrift store, when I happened upon this little devil:

Yes, it’s Marc Jacobs, and yes, it’s the real deal. $4.99! I can’t beat that if I tried.
So even though I have to come to recognize the evils of a small city like mine, at least I’ve found something to reminisce about when I’m over a thousand miles away.
